How did you get interested in playing music?

I remember listening to my uncle perform folk tunes for the family and watched his oldest brother as he learned the latest Van Halen song.

What is one of your most memorable accomplishments playing music?

Jamming with good friends and performing at the KC Royals World Series Parade @ Union Station

3-5 musical influences?

Prince, Pharrell, Herbie Hancock, Beck

What is on your musical bucket list?

To produce the most mind blowing song in the universe.

TERRY GANN

How did you get interested in playing music?

Playing trumpet in school band led me to pick up the bass and play in stage band. From that I joined the cool, older kids who had a rock band. By 10th grade I was playing 4 nights a week locally. By senior year I had joined regional hippy band, Nation, and hit the road with them; taking my schoolwork with me!

What is one of your most memorable accomplishments playing music?

I made some original-music videos in the 1980’s. One of them was played on MTV. It’s a big moment when your song is bounced off a satellite.

3-5 musical influences?

Joe Bonamassa, Ryan Adams, The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Danny Wilde from The Rembrandts.

What is on your musical bucket list?

To perform onstage with my eldest son. He is a conductor of classical music, a maestro... It’ll never happen!

Gear: Fessenden Pedal Steel, Fouke Industrial Lapsteel, “The Green-Eyed-Lady” T-styled guitar I built from random parts.

How did you get interested in playing music?

I played violin for 8 or so years. Every year we had a Christmas concert where a drummer would come in and play jungle bell rock with us. I was so in love with the beat, I practically dropped my violin & tried to get on the drum set! Fell in love right then and there.

What is one of your most memorable accomplishments playing music?

Playing Tchaikovskys 5th symphony on timpani. That song is so intense! Absolutely loved it.

3-5 musical influences?

Carter Beaufort from Dave Matthews Band.  Quest Love from the roots. Ben Sesar is also a huge influence, drummer for

Brad Paisley. I've. Even watching that guy for a while now and he's really doing what I aspire to do in the future (studio work mixed with touring).

What is on your musical bucket list?

Playing Redrocks Amphlitheatre... And Madison square garden would be sweet!

How did you get interested in playing music?

I have always been interested in playing music, even as a child. My brother Nick and I grew up watching our father and mother play in country and rock acts around the Midwest, and always dreamed of being on stage as well.

What is one of your most memorable accomplishments playing music?

A couple of my most memorable accomplishments alongside playing music with my friends and family include opening for acts such as Alabama, Travis Tritt, Jo Dee Messina, and Los Lobos, as well as earning my two Bachelor's degrees in Music Education, and Jazz Studies: Performance.

3-5 musical influences?

I have a great appreciation for many different styles of music, and have influences from every genre. To list a few in no particular order; Dave Matthew's Band, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Snarky Puppy, Animals as Leaders, etc.

What is on your musical bucket list?

My musical bucket list includes pushing myself to become the best that I could ever be at my craft. I would also like to someday obtain a masters and doctorate degrees.

How did you get interested in playing music?

Because all of my family are players.

What is one of your most memorable accomplishments playing music?

Being the Kansas All-State Jazz Drummer in my senior year of high school.

3-5 musical influences?

Neil Pert, Matt Garstka, Go Go Ray, Keith Mallory and Lester Estelle, all for different reasons.

What is on your musical bucket list?

Be a famous session drum set player and to have played on famous/popular records, create musical compositions for movie score/video game storylines and play with some of the best players alive.
